Where to start - the whole team at Bashtan are just fantastic, and I can say without any hesitation, that I would recommend them to anyone looking for help with a home renovation project. This was my first ever renovation, and from the get-go, the team were super professional, diligent, thorough, kind, and delivered an end result that far exceeded my expectations! The initial quote was itemised by task, and costed accordingly (in contrast to the two other firms I also asked to quote, both of whom kept it very vague, costing instead, the whole project as an approximation); moreover, the quotes were reasonable and in-line with market (trust me...I checked!). Finally, and crucially, the payment schedule associated with each task, tracked with a completion timetable (again, many other builders tend to ask for large up-front payments, and then fail to deliver the works). This is a real differentiator, and created full transparency, and alignment between myself as the client, and the Bashtan team. Then, as far as the experience during the renovation itself (~4 months), again, I cannot speak highly enough of the entire team. The lads on site each have their own specialties, and are very dedicated to their crafts, each completing the works to the highest standard. Crucially, they were always on site when they said they would be (timely and reliable!), were clearly very hard working, and just as importantly, are also all wonderful people, who were always very considerate when I was in / visiting the house, kind and in good spirits. I have already recommended the Bashtan team to several friends of mine, and will continue to do the same to anyone considering a home renovation – you are in the very best hands!
